Pierre’s work as a designer is characterised by the relationship between the space and the interaction between the furniture and its surroundings – walls, floors, ceilings, and other furnishings. A piece of furniture should be able to stand on its own while also engaging in a dialogue with its environment. Through many years as an interior architect, he has developed a deep understanding of these contexts, with the ambition of making public spaces more human. He has a strong interest in production and product development, and sees design as something that must evolve in close dialogue with industry.
He has collaborated with companies such as Gemla, Gärsnäs, Källemo, and SMD. Pierre has also received several awards and distinctions, including the Bruno Mathsson Prize, Lauritz Icon, Elle Decoration’s Furniture of the Year and Outdoor Furniture of the Year, as well as Sköna Hem’s Furniture of the Year.
For NC, Pierre has designed the CIRRUS sofa series, a clean-lined collection that combines design, comfort, and function. It offers a soft, embracing feel without compromising functionality or durability. The series balances the light and the generous, with a design language that expresses care and harmony between aesthetics and function.
