He has collaborated with companies such as Ericsson, Scania, and Atlas Copco, and has worked on graphic design and animated film for several of these clients. During the 1990s, he developed several notable furniture projects in collaboration with the Stockholm-based company CBI. His work has received several awards and distinctions, including Utmärkt Svensk Form.
Björn has been a jury member in international design competitions, including Roter Punkt in Germany, and has also taught at Konstfack and Beckmans School of Design. Between 1999 and 2001, he was a professor at Konstfack in Stockholm.
For NC, Björn designed the BJÖRN, CURT, and YES chairs, the SPUTNIK stool, and the STURE furniture series.
