With Midsommargården, Varberg municipality wanted to set a new standard for the future elderly homes. The vision is a place where the senses and memories are stimulated. In order to succeed, the aesthetics and function of the interior were thought through from the ground up. With the support of Kinnarp's Next Care®, Midsommargården has been given a long-term sustainable interior with a focus on the elderly's quality of life and the staff's working environment.
Varberg, like many Swedish municipalities, has an aging population, at the same time that the existing homes for the elderly are becoming worn and outdated. When Midsommargården was planned, the ambition was therefore to create a home for the elderly that could also become a reference for future projects.
