Mia Cullin

Designer

Mia is a designer and interior architect and has run her own studio, Studio Mia Cullin, since 1998.

She has a strong interest in traditional craftsmanship and visually expressive constructions, which characterises her work in interior architecture and design. Her designs are rooted in Nordic design culture and are defined by a subdued colour palette and a strong attention to materials and detail.

She has collaborated with companies such as, Zero, Nola, IKEA, Gemla, Blå Station, Adea, and Woodnotes. Mia has also received several awards, including the Elle Decoration Swedish Design Awards.

For NC, Mia has designed the ORKESTER stool series, with a design inspired by classic piano stools. The series is assembled entirely without screws or metal fittings and features height-adjustable seats that provide both flexibility and character.

Education: Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and Accademia di Moda e Design.
