Her work is characterised by careful material studies and an exploration of construction techniques, where aesthetics, function, and smart solutions come together to create thoughtfully designed everyday objects.
Madeleine’s work has been exhibited at, among others, Formex, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, Reykjavik Design March, and Milan Design Week. She has also received several scholarships and awards, including Formex Nova, Svenskt Tenn, TreCe, and the Almi Innovation Grant, as well as HRD Carpets.
For NC, Madeleine has designed the TWIST stool, a stackable stool where the geometry of an icositetragon creates the illusion of a round seat, while the chamfered edges allow for stable stacking.
